Behaviour in the Workplace Designed and delivered a two hour interactive training programme for Sales and Trading staff of a large international Bank which has subsequently been rolled out to all employees. The programme is delivered using a legally qualified facilitator and two professional actors. The actors will role play various office scenarios and the participants are invited to interview the actors in character and question their behaviour. This programme demonstrates the implications of inappropriate behaviour, raises awareness of employment legislation, identifies any litigation risk, highlights the possibility of personal as well as corporate liability and covers all areas of discrimination including direct and indirect discrimination.
Psychology of Trading, Dr. Brett Steenbarger This unique programme was designed for traders to provide an understanding of the behavioural and emotional patterns that accompany risk taking which would enable participants to identify common pitfalls under conditions of heightened risk and what to do about them. Through participant self assessment, participants could recognise personality and cognitive strengths and weaknesses enabling them to cope better with risk, anxiety, threat and stress.
Competitor Mapping and Supplier Review Conducted a competitor mapping of training and development initiatives across a select group of firms in London and New York. A supplier review was simultaneously completed to identify the best providers of training services for particular topics across both markets. The project provided a benchmarking for the client’s initiatives and budgeting as cost data was also included.
Equities Technical Training A comprehensive technical training programme was designed for the entire European equities division in a global investment bank. Line management interviews were conducted and customised content utilising in-house resources was developed. The programme serves as a management and career tool. Following successful programme roll-out, the mandate was extended to New York.
Fast Effective Reading A one day programme designed to double or even in some cases treble reading speeds and help to increase retention levels. This programme has been delivered for a number of clients across various sectors, on a number of instances pilots have been successfully held which has led to this programme being added onto training curriculums. A substantial number of our clients include this at the beginning of their Graduate Training Programme to help their new joiners through the large amount of reading or studying they are required to do when joining the company.
Age Discrimination Designed and delivered the above programme for a large financial institution due to the new UK and EU legislation that comes into force in October 2006, this will give new rights to all workers and applicants for work not to be discriminated against on the grounds of age. The training session is fully interactive and delivered by a legally qualified facilitator and two professional actors. Different scenarios are acted out tailored to specific client requirements by using real-life examples based on events that have happened or likely to occur within the company.
